Jagoda Stanicka is a Polish pianist, composer and cultural animator. She gained her musical education at Chopin University of Music in Warsaw (Janusz Olejniczak piano class, master's degree 2022) and Conservatory of Amsterdam (2018/2019).
She creates original compositions that go beyond the realm of classical music, breaking the boundaries of genre and style divisions. Her music has been broadcast among others on several Polish Radio stations, American radio station KEXP, and the German radio NEOfm.
Her career as an award-winning classical musician allows her to freely combine classical genres with more alternative approaches using a solid piano technique.
She is a winner of many international and national piano competitions. She’s performed solo and as a soloist with orchestras around the country and abroad (Austria, France, Italy, Netherlands, Germany, Portugal, Hungary, Slovakia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Belarus) as a participant of the Cultura Animi Foundation. She's also taken part in several master classes and music courses. Two-time Ministry of Culture and National Heritage grantee, the Mazovian and Lublin Voivodeship Marshal. Despite her success in classical piano and a 6-year violin class, Jagoda began seeking different opportunities and goals outside her pianistic career.
She decided to follow her artistic path concentrating on composing and playing modern classic and contemporary music.
Jagoda also writes music for theatre plays (recent projects such as “Voyage Immobile” - dir. Lionel Menard, “Treny”, dir. Bartłomiej Ostapczuk, produced by Warsaw Pantomime Center). “Fedra” dir. Olga Sawicka by Teatr Collegium Nobillium “W Płomieniach” , “Drzazga” - dir. Patrycja Wysokińska) and film (projects such as: . “I żyli długo i szczęśliwie” - dir. Stefania Strzałkowska - Rajca, “Alicja” - dir. Martyna Ludwig). She’s also a fellow resident and a co-creator of “You are living in a completely different world” - dir. Hubert Fiebig at Centrum Rezydencji Teatralnej Scena Robocza in Poznań. She was awarded twice with a special distinction for composing music for the musical theatre play Przesilenia (2022) dir. Kinga Pudełek, Hubert Fiebig. She took part in the recording of the ambient album "Celestially Light" by the esteemed Japanese singer Ichiko Aoba produced by Albert Karch.
Besides performing original, classical and modern music, Jagoda is a member of the bands "tęskno" and "OLKA". She has also experience in organising composer meetings, concerts, musical events, and participatory activities involving various communities, including Musical Creative Workshops - as a part of her Master's graduation in Social Arts at Warsaw University.
A debut album of her compositions will be released this year. Thanks to the musical versatility she acquires in various fields, in her work she always tries to discover new possibilities and draw on available resources.
